Advisory Committee
The Advisory Committee (AC) is responsible for providing strategic advice on the directions of the Silva21 project and technology transfer priorities. HQ monitors project progress indicators and reports to NSERC, as well as monitors financial management, resource allocation and EDI issues. The committee meets twice a year by videoconference. Scientific Integration Committee
The Scientific Integration Committee (SIC) is responsible for ensuring scientific integration between the three Silva21 research themes. Their objective is to promote the key results of research with the whole group and to organize scientific activities within the cluster.
Highly Qualified Personnel Committee
The Highly Qualified Personnel (HQP) Committee is responsible for maintaining and encouraging communication between HQP in terms of training and networking, as well as representing all HQP on other committees. The goal of the HQP Committee is to organize HQP-led events that can advance personal development (such as workshops) among HQP to guide them on their career path, as well as act as a resource to ensure that all HQP objectives are met. as part of the Silva21 project. The HQP committee meets once a year by videoconference and once in person at the AGM.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee
The Equity, Diversity and Including (EDI) committee is responsible for ensuring EDI demands are met to all members of the Silva21 project and provide guidance to members should they require it. The goals of the EDI committee is to firstly incorporate aspects of reconciliation, such as land acknowledgements for all institutions that conduct research related to the Silva21 project. Secondly, they are to ensure Silva21 is a safe, inclusive and diverse project and to provide EDI tools and resources to all Silva21 members, including First Nation communities involved in the project. The EDI committee meets once a year by videoconference and once in person at the AGM, though the majority of the EDI committee communication occurs via Slack.
